Carly Carter has always had a love for signing and learning instruments, and in 4th grade she also started writing songs. Songwriting became a way for her to express herself, sharing her emotions, ideas and internal struggles through music. She has had the opportunity to perform her songs at multiple Austin music clubs, and in 2022, she was selected to perform two original songs at a South by Southwest Music Festival Showcase hosted by the acclaimed musician and producer, Linda Perry:

In addition to songwriting, Carly has spent 7 years dedicated to school choir. She has performed as a member of the choir and has been selected for numerous solos. In 2023, she was one of 15 acts selected out of more than 100 applicants to perform at her High School Spring Choir Concert in front of a packed theater with more than 500 people in the audience:
